The farm provides a wonderful environment in which many primary science topics and themes can be brought to life through practical, outdoor activities.

The farm provides a wonderful environment in which many primary science topics and themes can be brought to life. Practical, outdoor activities can give purpose and meaning to learning in the classroom. This CPD will help you enrich your primary science offering by:

  • Looking at the key learning opportunities available in the farm environment
  • Making links to key areas of the science curriculum including: seasonal changes, plants, living things and their habitats, rocks and soils, and evolution and inheritance
  • Looking at practical activities that can be replicated in the classroom or outdoor environment
  • Considering how farming can provide context and real-world examples that help deepen children’s understanding.
  • Discovering simple ways to develop school / farm links.

We don’t have any planned dates for this event right now but we can deliver all our activities on-demand, or our team of experienced educators can create tailored experiences for your specific needs.
