Making the most of farm visits

Online CPD sessions for primary and secondary teachers who have experience of taking pupils on educational visits but want to make the most of the fantastic experience provided by a visit to a farm.

The course take place over two sessions.

Session 1:

  • How to justify a visit to your SLT and parents, it’s so much more than the curriculum links!
  • How to make sure you all have a safe educational and fun experience on farm (Safety and Risk assessment, planning programmes of study on farm)
  • “Ask a farmer” – live link to a farm.

Session 2:

  • Inspire and enthuse your students,
  • Bring your curriculum/exam teaching alive using food, farming and the countryside.
  • Finding farmers to work with, supporting resources, funding, projects etc

We don’t have any planned dates for this event right now but we can deliver all our activities on-demand, or our team of experienced educators can create tailored experiences for your specific needs.
