Teacher CPD

Food, farming and the outdoors

A half day or "twilight" session for teachers helping you to see the learning that can be gained from the outdoors and the countryside.

Teachers – you are invited to this half day session that will introduce you to how you can enhance teaching across the curriculum using food, farming, farm visits and the many resources available. It will provide an opportunity to see the learning that can be gained from the outdoors and the countryside. Local guest speakers from complementary programmes can be invited to help support schools in this area.

During this session we will look at how the programme is structured, the benefits of taking part and also how food contributes to a “healthy school.” Practical ideas will also be given to develop a whole school approach to healthy eating and food.
