Earlier on in the year Densholme Farm had a meeting with a local Charity called ‘Hull Children's University’ (HCU) that specialises in supporting schools to get children out of the classroom and to amazing places to expand their horizons. We provide the ‘Farm experience’

Word had got back to them about Farmer Denys’ stories and how they are a big hit with the children. A lot of the young children who visit may not have seen chickens, pigs and cows before, so a story about their antics on the farm is always enjoyed by all and more so from such charismatic story teller. They suggested the farm should put them into a book so the kids could enjoy them before and after their ‘farm experience’. So that’s just what they did!

Denys put pen to paper and there was soon a book going off to press. Thanks to an excellent artist who comes to the farm every Friday called David, they soon had a front cover and with the help of Fiona Caley, a local artist, they soon had a completed book about Farmer Denys and his naughty cows available for sale!; All proceeds will be split between HCU and the care farm charity.
