Learn how you can join in to equip future generations with balanced and informed insight into food production, farming and the environment.
Inspire the next generation and strengthen the connection between farming, food and the public. By welcoming young people onto your farm or sharing your experience in the classroom, you can bring farming to life, build understanding of how food is produced and help shape more informed future consumers.
You do not need teaching experience to make a difference. We provide the training, practical resources and ongoing support you need to deliver safe, engaging activities with confidence. All while creating rewarding connections with your local community and championing the vital role of farming.
There are loads of ways to connect your farm with the classroom and help children experience food, farming and the countryside. Whether you're completely new or are looking for fresh ideas, LEAF is here to help.

The Open Your Gate campaign aims to help create one million on-farm learning experiences for children by 2031. We’ve joined forces with AHDB to give help and support for farmers to host visits with confidence so together we can achieve this ambitious goal.
Together, we can bring young people closer to farming – turning real on-farm experiences into lasting understanding and future choices. By opening your gates today, you can give children a real understanding of food, farming and the people behind British agriculture.
Nobody tells the story of British farming better than the people living it every day.
To make hosting farm visits easy and a pleasure, AHDB and LEAF are giving 80 farmers the chance to take part in the School Farm Visits Support programme. The programme, which includes fully funded CEVAS training, gives the knowledge and guidance needed to plan and deliver safe, high-quality and engaging farm visits.
