Contact Lisa

As a farmer’s daughter who grew up on a traditional mixed farm in Cornwall Lisa has always enjoyed a practical ‘hands on’ outdoor life. In her academic career Lisa read agriculture at Aberystwyth University followed by postgraduate studies at The School of Agriculture in Aberdeen and six years as a research scientist in Scotland and Eire.

On completion of her PGCE, Lisa spent six years teaching science, biology and agricultural science in a secondary school in Eire. Since returning to the family farm in Cornwall in 2006 she has combined farming with teaching biology at A level, HNC and HND at Truro & Penwith College.

Lisa was delighted to join LEAF in a role that combines her passion for education, farming and the environment. She believes that people need to be given the opportunity to connect with and engage in food production and understand the important roles farmers play in management of the natural environment.

In her spare time Lisa enjoys walking her dogs and hacking her Highland pony.
