Inspiring the Next Generation about Future Farming
A training event showcasing the latest resources developed by LEAF Education in partnership with NFYFC and ADM. The training is designed to support wider industry in their endeavour to encourage learners to consider careers in food, farming and environment.
In 2019, in partnership, we developed a programme of delivery for Young Farmers and for school children: ‘Future Farming’. It was developed and is available as a resource from NFYFC and Countryside Classroom to help spread positive messages about food and farming and achieve a greater understanding of importation, exportation, production and sustainability.
The opportunity of support from ADM to enable us to update and develop this resource for wider industry was greatly welcomed. This agricultural project strongly supports core aims in relation to PSHE: developing critical thinking, encouraging learners to explore living in the wider world whilst encompassing economic and environmental well-being and aspects of agricultural, food and retail careers education.
Join LEAF Education for a funded training event to familiarise yourself with the newly updated Future Farming resource and discover how your organisation can use the resource pack to promote careers in your own organisation and support children to discover the many career opportunities in your industry.
