The LEAF Sustainable Farming Review is a members only self-assessment on-line management tool to help farmers farm more sustainably. It enables them to monitor their performance, identify strengths and weaknesses and set targets for improvement across the whole farm.

Why should I complete the LEAF Sustainable Farming Review?
The LEAF Sustainable Farming Review helps farmers to record, evaluate and improve farming practices by allowing them to ‘step back’ from everyday farming practices, take an objective look at what they are doing and the reasons why. It will help to:

Features of the LEAF Sustainable Farming Review
- Guidance – links and documents to help you explore in more detail.
- Action Plan – this provides a summary of all the actions identified in each of the 9 sections.
- Benchmark – this helps farmers monitor their performance and progress against other Review users.
- Continuous Professional Development – The LEAF Sustainable Farming Review qualifies for three types of CPD points - BASIS, NRoSO and DairyPro.
- Management Reports – various reports are available to download to show responses and progress.
- LEAF Marque – completion of the LEAF Sustainable Farming Review is a pre-requisite for LEAF Marque certification.
Practical, easy to use management tool for farmers
Questions within each of the nine sections reflect a particular IFM principle and together cover economic performance, environmental quality and social health. Management reports are also provided to allow farmers to document, evaluate and map out improvements over time as well as highlight areas to focus on in the future.
The LEAF Sustainable Farming Review replaces the LEAF Audit and has been developed in close consultation with farmers. It offers a very practical, easy to use management tool to help farmers make more informed decisions that will drive their business forward – economically, environmentally and socially.
