We have launched a new iteration of the LEAF Marque Standard! In v16.1 we have made changes to the scope of the LEAF Marque Standard and its associated requirements.
We have only changed the requirements associated with Control Point 1.2, which previously required producers to be certified by a LEAF Marque-approved baseline scheme for all products/enterprises included in their whole farm definition. Our recent stakeholder engagement and research has shown that this requirement disadvantages our producers. Via consultation with our Technical Advisory Committee, we have removed this barrier to LEAF Marque Certification.
The scope of LEAF Marque Standard and the LEAF Marque audit will continue to cover Integrated Farm Management, and the whole farm (all products, land, and farming activities within the control of the farming business), ensuring implementation and assessment of Integrated Farm Management.
From 1st September 2023, only products where a LEAF Marque approved baseline certification is also in place can be LEAF Marque certified, and therefore included on the LEAF Marque certificate, and eligible to use the LEAF Marque logo.
Producers are no longer be required to have a baseline certificate for all products on their farm.
