Farm Visits

Environmental Science on the Farm

Your A level Environmental Science students are invited to a farm to put their learning into context.

There are so many ways in which a farm can provide a context for topics within the A level Environmental Science specifications. You and your students are invited to meet a farmer who will be able to demonstrate habitat management, biological pest control, ecosystem interactions, water treatment, soil fertility, sustainable energy – the list is endless!

A day’s visit can be tailored to your students’ requirements, dependent on the facilities and resources available at a farm in your area.

We don’t have any planned dates for this event right now but we can deliver all our activities on-demand, or our team of experienced educators can create tailored experiences for your specific needs.

“The children really enjoyed the tour of the farm and being able to go into the field to see the animals close up; a real chance to get out of the classroom environment and continue learning.”

— Year 3 teacher

“It really opened my eyes to see how a farm is run as a multi-million pound business, and to think about all the decisions the farmer has to make, not just what crops to grow.”

— A level business studies student
